Hello again Tuesday Friends :)
It's been a long and wet week here. The bright side is that the temps are down into the comfort range again !!!
I'm sharing an old drink photo today ...because I forgot to take one this week .
.....coffee because I'm drained of energy and really would like to have a cup right now but know that if I do I won't be able to fall asleep and that's more important.
The garden has exploded with growth with all of the rain and I'm surrounded by piles of cucumbers, yellow squash, more zucchini and tomatoes. I need to get it in gear and prep some for freezing and canning. It's that energy thing again.
Ok...the brain frazzled out last night and words were not making sense so I went to bed. Now it's a new day and I'm getting that much needed cup of coffee and then hopefully accomplishing more than I have in the past few days.
First off is cleaning out and defrosting the freezer to make more room.
News on the puppy is that I may have located it's owner and I have such mixed emotions about that. We have grown so attached to him and he's settled in with our dog too... cats are still not liking him. I don't want to let him go but I don't want to break someone else's heart too. So I will probably contact them and see if they have a more recent photo than the one that is posted online. The area is exactly where we found him but the photo is a much smaller pup.
Here are a few more photos from the park where my daughter and I went hiking .
The ferns grow everywhere and that is why the park is called Ferne Cliffe State Park.
A close up of some of the ferns :)
So now that I have had my 3rd BIG CUP of COFFEE I think I had better get to work on all of those veggies :)
Happy T Day to all!!!!
OOPS ! I almost forgot

TODAY'S RANDOM THOUGHTS
♥
Sorry you are low on energy, don't overdo things! Hope the coffee helps. I can imagine how you feel about having to possibly give up the dog! Take care, happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteSuper random thoughts as always dear Carol!
ReplyDeleteOoooh those ferns are gorgeous.
Ferns are so beautiful in every stage...L♥ve them when they are round and just unfurling too.
I feel you on letting go of the puppy ♥
We finally got a half inch of much needed rain last night.
Happy T Day to ya oxo
I'm impressed with those ferns. What a pleasant walk!
ReplyDeleteIt may not actually be the same dog. I agree a more recent photo from them would be needed. They should've had a chip. :(
Happy T Tuesday!
Lol...those random thoughts crack me up! hope you cope with all the produce ok...you'll be glad once it's done. sounds wonderful really. and I do hope the puppy thing works out for you...happy T/coffee day!
ReplyDeleteI have had a smile reading the random thoughts, especially the dogs in the mud. Lovely photos of your garden and the ferns. I'm pleased the puppy may be reunited with its owners, but I know how you must be feeling yourself. I would have quite a few questions to ask them, before handing the little one over. Oh and I mustn't forget your own lovely Collie, its a lovely photo of them both together.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday.
Yvonne xx
Oh Wow! I love those ferns! I hope your puppy problem is resolved soon! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteHope by now you are feeling better. I got sick this afternoon, so that's why I'm late visiting. I could do with some of that coffee about now.
ReplyDeleteI haven't defrosted a freezer in about -well- FOREVER. Not sure I would even know how.
I hope you don't have to give up the pup, but I agree with Divers and Sundry. They should have chipped the pup.
Those ferns are gorgeous. I would love to have some in my shady garden.
Thanks for sharing your GREAT random thoughts and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday.
Sending you happy thoughts, full of energy! I love that you have so many wonderful veggies and such a variety too - cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini and tomatoes, wow! Today's random thoughts are such fun, especially the two dogs, it really made me smile :-). You have been an angel looking after that little puppy, I can see how he has found a place in your heart! Wishing you a Happy T Day! J :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some rain. We have of some today, we really need it too. But I am in the same place with my garden. I started doing some canning and pickle making last week and I've got more to do. I also know how you feel about the puppy. Many years ago we found a dog and then we thought we found the owners. When they came the dog was so happy to see them, it made up for having the dog go away. I hope it works out for you in the best way possible. Happy t day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSad you may have to give up the puppy, hope you won't have to. Happy for you getting some rain!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the former owners will be thrilled to get him back. We've been getting nothing but rain lately. More on the way today.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day...really late.
I just popped over from Katyinozarks new blog Hummingbird Woodland Studio to say hi! I hope the pup situation comes to a good close for everyone involved. It's so hard when you come upon a lost pet and get attached before you find the owners... been there done that! :) Looking forward to visiting with you on your blog...
ReplyDeleteHugs from a new friend
