Ruby Tuesday 2

Seems I just finished doing the last Ruby Tuesday yesterday...time is zipping right by and summer will be over before we know it.
This week the last of my day-lilies are blooming. The Mabels :)

These are always so striking with their bright yellow centers  and brilliant red petal tips. Even with the drought and heat wave we are experiencing they put on a good show. They are not as full as normal and the leaves are turning brown already. I keep watering hoping that Mother Nature will cooperate and give us the rain we need to flourish .

  1. Love your daylilies, Carol! Yes, the summer is zipping by. Does it have anything to do with the heat! We aren't as bad as you have been, but we have had two weeks of over 90 and that's just not heard of! Maybe another warm winter! I'll go for that! Maybe I don't have to retire to Florida! xxoo Nancy

  7. Day lilies are so reliable. That why I like them as well. And my shade garden is doing great and the rest no so good for the same reasons as yours. I've bee way behind on blogging since it took weeks to get replacement for the one the viruses killed. I could survive withoutour faithfull blender but the computer seems more like a neccesity. Then some health issues cropped up which required numerous visits to the Mayo Clinic. Fortunate me and the new computer seem to be functioning these days so...... :)
