Although Spring is in the air and lots of things are blooming.....what caught my eye this morning was the fungi growing on a fallen tree in the woods behind my house.
All of the different textures and the almost gray scale colors intrigued me.
I really enjoying looking at fungus in nature and am always on the look out for it when I'm out in the woods.
So don't be surprised if they keep popping up here. The only thing I photograph more is flowers and birds :0)
Thanks for stopping in and check out the other great macro shots here...
And Monday Blog Hop post here:
The patterns always impress me.
ReplyDeleteYour first shot reminded me of moth's wings. :)
Great shots!
Those photos are fabulous. I adore fungi and probably have millions (well not quite, but a lot!) of photos of fungi. The shapes and sizes and patterns just amaze me. Suzy, a new follower. x

ReplyDeleteCarol, CH loves fungus too. He strolled in the house yesterday with some kind of red stuff telling me they were mushrooms. I said no way Mister! Love the layers and the lacy look of the fungus on your tree! Hope we don't have any scary storms tonight.
