Finally as summer ends and fall is in full swing....my Dahlias bloom!
These are dinner plate Dahlias and the plants are normally 5 to 6 ft tall with 10 inch blooms this year the plants are only about 16 inches tall but the blooms are still the normal size. I'm guessing the severe heat of the summer and the draught conditions we had for so long is what contributed to this. I'm just glad they bloomed before I had to dig them up!!
