I love to use thrift sale finds and unusual containers in my flower gardens. This large vase had a huge "UGLY" mauve and blue silk flower arrangement when I found it. Marked $1 but everything was 50% off that day! I threw out the silks and drilled some drain hole in the bottom and filled it with potting soil. Hopefully I'll keep it watered enough that the plants will fill out and look ever better :)
My Oriental Lilly doesn't usually get the chance to bloom because the dogs break it off before it gets the chance. So I moved it to a safer spot last summer and now she's radiant in the sun .

My rusty barbed wire sphere was disappearing into the mulch so whipped out my favorite red spray paint can and gave it a good coating. Will show more detailed pics of it in later post :)

I love the bright touches of red. My garden is looking a little parched and I still need to get all the rusty bits placed.
