It's a Blooming ..Ruby...Tuesday :)

The flowerbeds are finally waking up and starting to look good :)
It's helped that I've added some bright annuals to the group too. This year I went with pink instead of the usual blue. Once in a while you just have to change it up and it didn't hurt that Home Depot had these "floral" hydrangeas marked down to $3.00!

The neighbors Martin House is helping me with the Ruby Tuesday post and then I remembered that I had...

this hanging basket of red and purple fuchsia in the shade garden :) hanging right above the hydrangeas.....Daaaaaaa.

I really wish I had bought more of these beauties while they were on sale. By the time I came to my senses they were all gone :(

We've been very busy in the yard and garden now that it has finally warmed up and all of our work is starting to show.
I'll have to post more photos later this week to show you some of the things we have been doing.

Ruby Tuesday

  1. Great deal on the hydrangea. It is beautiful. I so often do the same thing as you - often I leave a store or garden center and say I wish I'd gotten that. (But more often I say wish I hadn't bought that). Great to see the gardens taking off.

  2. I agree that was a great bargain on the Hydrangea. Your Fuschia is gorgeous right now! :)

  3. You have lovely blooms Carol!

If you have time, kindly peek at my Ruby Tuesday post at my Nostalgic Marveling blog.

PS.. I just became your follower.

  4. Those are some of my favorite flowers

  5. Very pretty! I love the light blue metal chair we get a glimpse of in the first pic too:@)

  6. Awesome deal on the hydrangea! It looks great in the old boiler. I love fucshia! I get one every year for Mother's Day. Doesn't it feel good to get outside and play in the dirt? Happy Bloomin' Tuesday! Jean

  7. The photo of the martin house warms my heart. I love to hear the gurgling, liquid voices of purple martins in the summer.

“If forced to make choices,” she said,
“I’d go for the crimson and red.
    I’d let go of green,
    A color obscene,
    Embracing magenta instead.”
