"T" STANDS FOR TUESDAY

HELLO my Tuesday FRIENDS!
Once again I am late for a very important date 😩
It's been a stressful few days around here. My dad is in the hospital again. He has a severe urinary tract infection along with a bacterial blood infection and somewhere in the recent past he has had a mild heart attack. He's been on antibiotics for over a week but they were't working and Sunday night his fever spiked and he lost all strength in his muscles. That is when they rushed him to the hospital.
Once they figured out what all was wrong and changed his medications he has responded amazingly fast and is much improved. They plan to keep him for a few days still to monitor him and figure out if he needs anything else.
I have not been able to go up because I am too sick to travel and he doesn't need whatever this bug is that I have come down with.
I started a new canvas over the weekend and it is coming along great so far.

This was where I stopped on Sunday night. I haven't worked on it since. Just to stressed to focus.
Winter has reared it's ugly head again here. The temps have plummeted and we've had a couple of snows. Everything melted right away because the ground was too warm but it had finally refrozen and if we get anything else it will stay until it's warm back up. Everything that has bloomed or even just popped up is now frozen solid. It will be a bad fruit year here for sure.

These were taken Sunday and we've had severe cold nights since then so they look much worse today. 😢😢
Today's Random Thoughts

So don't forget to visit the rest of the party over at Elizabeth's. Just click on the blue teapot on my sidebar and grab the drink of your choice and visit a spell.

  4. Best wishes for your dad, sounds like he is on the mend. You are so considerate to stay home so as not to give him another bug to deal with. Snowing here now too, and I just got in from covering up all my bulbs again. The tulips are almost ready to bloom and I am afraid I'm going to lose them.

  9. It is so scary about your dad. Hope the new antibiotics continue to work. And your poor daffodils. They looks so sad and cold. But your painting is very cheerful! Hopefully the painting is the harbinger of better things. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

  10. So sorry to hear about your Dad and that your bug prevented you visiting! Love your art and hope that you feel able to get back to some creative time soon! The garden looks very sorry for itself - I don't think the weather knows what to do! Hopefully taking off the dead heads of poorly plants may stimulate new growth when it warms up! Hope things get better for you! Happy T day! Chris

  12. I am sorry I'm so late. I hope the new antibiotics work for your dad and he continues to improve. I also hope you get to feeling better so you can go see him.

That's a fabulous new canvas and so full of patterns and colors. I really like it, and look forward to seeing where it is going.

Too bad about all your daffodils and what looks like surprise lily leaves that have been frozen. It's cold here, but not like that, and NO snow or any moisture. Seems like the only REAL spring comes in your coffee cup today.

Thanks for sharing your father's condition, your hopefully improving health, and your canvas and coffee with us for T this Tuesday.

And then that horrible weather. It seems to have been world wide. We have had the same, a few days of glorious weather and then, bam!, snow! our daffodils are looking ready to 'pop', so full of promise.
I love your random thoughts as always. Keep them coming... I like...
    Happy belated T-Day,

How can you paint like that when you're feeling so sick and under all that stress? The canvas is wonderful! I can't wait to see what you do with it from here. Glad your dad has responded so well. Breath a sigh of relief.
