HELLO my Tuesday FRIENDS!
Once again I am late for a very important date 😩
It's been a stressful few days around here. My dad is in the hospital again. He has a severe urinary tract infection along with a bacterial blood infection and somewhere in the recent past he has had a mild heart attack. He's been on antibiotics for over a week but they were't working and Sunday night his fever spiked and he lost all strength in his muscles. That is when they rushed him to the hospital.
Once they figured out what all was wrong and changed his medications he has responded amazingly fast and is much improved. They plan to keep him for a few days still to monitor him and figure out if he needs anything else.
I have not been able to go up because I am too sick to travel and he doesn't need whatever this bug is that I have come down with.
I started a new canvas over the weekend and it is coming along great so far.

This was where I stopped on Sunday night. I haven't worked on it since. Just to stressed to focus.
Winter has reared it's ugly head again here. The temps have plummeted and we've had a couple of snows. Everything melted right away because the ground was too warm but it had finally refrozen and if we get anything else it will stay until it's warm back up. Everything that has bloomed or even just popped up is now frozen solid. It will be a bad fruit year here for sure.

These were taken Sunday and we've had severe cold nights since then so they look much worse today. 😢😢
Today's Random Thoughts

So don't forget to visit the rest of the party over at Elizabeth's. Just click on the blue teapot on my sidebar and grab the drink of your choice and visit a spell.

  1. Life throws so many challenges at us. I hope that the good growth comes through eventually. Make you be blessed and enjoy your brew on T Day.

  2. Sorry to hear about your father, hope he soon feels better. Love the new canvas you have started, looking forward to seeing how it progresses. What a shame that the plants have all frozen, that's really hard. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  3. I am so sorry he (and you) are going through all this. I know how stressful this kind of thing is :( I'm glad to hear he's recovering well and hope things settle down soo for you both :)

Love the daffodils :) and the #AlternativeFacts picture.

    Happy T Tuesday

  4. Best wishes for your dad, sounds like he is on the mend. You are so considerate to stay home so as not to give him another bug to deal with. Snowing here now too, and I just got in from covering up all my bulbs again. The tulips are almost ready to bloom and I am afraid I'm going to lose them.

  5. Sorry to hear about your dad, it's always difficult when loved ones are so unwell - I do hope he is better soon! Wishing you a speedy recovery so you can visit him. Your artwork is beautiful, I'm in awe of all the lovely colours and patterns you have created on this piece :-) . I love your thought of the day which says always believe that something wonderful is about to happen. Thinking of you and wishing you well! J :-)

  6. Good morning Carol-sending healing prayers to the both of you.
we didn't get any snow-ice at all I think it may have been late friday we got allot of hail but nothing else. I got to enjoy the daffodils for many weeks this year. Happy T day hugs

  7. What a time you are having. Glad to hear your father is on the mend again. Scary. Your brightly colored canvas is outstanding already! Yes, our poor poor blooming things-we have now gotten over 19" of snow dumped on us because of that nor'easter and it hasn't stopped yet:(:( Fell better soon, and happy T day!

  8. Oh dear, you are having a bad time , it was good to read that your father's health was improving and I hope you yourself will be feeling better soon.
It looks a great canvas, the colours look so bright and cheerful.
    Happy T day wishes.
    Yvonne xx

  9. It is so scary about your dad. Hope the new antibiotics continue to work. And your poor daffodils. They looks so sad and cold. But your painting is very cheerful! Hopefully the painting is the harbinger of better things. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

  10. So sorry to hear about your Dad and that your bug prevented you visiting! Love your art and hope that you feel able to get back to some creative time soon! The garden looks very sorry for itself - I don't think the weather knows what to do! Hopefully taking off the dead heads of poorly plants may stimulate new growth when it warms up! Hope things get better for you! Happy T day! Chris

  11. Aww... look at those poor daffodil babies... so sad... We had some wintry weather but not as bad as yours... Ours managed to tough it out... Wishing your dad good health Carol... Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb

  12. I am sorry I'm so late. I hope the new antibiotics work for your dad and he continues to improve. I also hope you get to feeling better so you can go see him.

That's a fabulous new canvas and so full of patterns and colors. I really like it, and look forward to seeing where it is going.

Too bad about all your daffodils and what looks like surprise lily leaves that have been frozen. It's cold here, but not like that, and NO snow or any moisture. Seems like the only REAL spring comes in your coffee cup today.

Thanks for sharing your father's condition, your hopefully improving health, and your canvas and coffee with us for T this Tuesday.

  13. sorry your Dad has been so sick, and healing thoughts going out to him and to you! You are right, the flu and cold bugs just seem to have hung on extra long this year...hope you are better very soon, as well as your Dad! Gorgeous canvas too! happy T day dear ♥

  14. I am glad to hear that your Dad is responding well to the new meds. I hope he recovers quickly and without anymore issues. I can't stand to look out and see what this cold has done. The snow missed us. Hope you start to feel better pronto!

  15. I'm sorry to hear your dad was so ill. I hope he is feeling a lot better now. I can understand your anxiety. And you have been under the weather too. What a drag! I hope you get over it soon too.
And then that horrible weather. It seems to have been world wide. We have had the same, a few days of glorious weather and then, bam!, snow! our daffodils are looking ready to 'pop', so full of promise.
I love your random thoughts as always. Keep them coming... I like...
    Happy belated T-Day,

  16. Dear Carol,

How can you paint like that when you're feeling so sick and under all that stress? The canvas is wonderful! I can't wait to see what you do with it from here. Glad your dad has responded so well. Breath a sigh of relief.

Speaking of breathing a sigh ... I want to tell you that every time I click to your site and see your header photo, my whole body relaxes ... ahhh.

Happy T-day Feel better soon. Hugs, Eileen

  17. Hope your dad is well by now. Love your canvas. It's been raining here and as we use to say it is the waters of march closing summer.Happy belated T Day!
