T Stands for Tuesday and is it really Spring ALREADY?

Hello my Tuesday FRIENDS!
We are now on our 3rd week of unusually warm weather for February. I'm talking in the upper 70's the last three days ! With only a slight cool down for the coming week. Records broken and plants have said goodbye to winter and hello SPRING ! We have had hardly any snow or rain all winter so it is very dry out there. We did get some rain late last night and early this morning but not enough to get us out of drought range.  😩 Makes me worry about summer.
We did take advantage of the warmer bug free weather though and cleared out more of the overgrown woods on our property. 😅

It's a bit hard to see as these bushes & vines have not started leafing out yet but they are thick and you can't walk through this part of the woods much . After two days of cutting and  piling this is what we have.

As I was pulling out the Honeysuckle vines I started winging them into a small balls. Well those who know me know I just couldn't resist....
...I now have a big ball  of vines and still lots more to pull up and wind up 😉
Then I get to start adding all of the Wisteria vines that have totally gotten out of control too. Who knows how big this ball of vines will end up!
Needless to say we have many sore muscles this morning and I slept late so I have to dash off to work real quick.
Here is the drink of the day. Coffee of course!
The art is the first piece from the new class... at first I thought the background was too busy . It is growing on me now and I love it and so does hubby. He wants to hang it in the living room ... which is a big thing for him to suggest that. ♥
Today's Random Thought

Now be sure to check out all of the other folks over at

  1. Good morning and happy T for Tuesday Day-you and another friend suggested this link up-and I want to thank you again-lots of fun
I can relate to the clean up-my wisteria was everywhere-I have one area done now I have another bigger patch to clean up-I love honeysuckle and in fact we saved a plant and I put an old iron head board for it to grow on-it is under a big hickory-but it has really never spread very far perhaps not enough sunshine? I love the flowers on them

  2. How lovely to have your own woods, but it looks like a LOT of work. You will have a huge vine ball by the time you are done. Your painting is beautiful, love the bright and happy colours, I can understand your husband! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

LOVE the honeysuckle vine ball.. too bad you can't get it to grow now...that might be lovely...Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb

  4. You have put a LOT of work into your place this past week. I love the ball. I can see several as sculptures in your yard. I could tell you had been very busy, too.

That art piece is divine. I can see why your husband wants to hang it in a prominent place. Good for him. I think it's a real beauty. Not so sure of the lizards on the cup, though (grin).

Thanks for sharing your yard clean-up, you awesome art, and your lizard mug filled with coffee with us for T this Tuesday. Great random thoughts, too!

  5. Forgot to mention how good it must have been to not have mosquitoes around, because they are a BIG problem in my area, after a tiny bit of rain we got Sunday.

  9. A great idea to make the vine balls and I wonder what you will end up making them into. It must be good to have all the land but full time grating to keep it all under control.
You new art work looks fantastic.
    Happy T day.

  10. Wow, this post is amazing! Firstly, you did such a great job clearing the woods - I bet you are tired out after all that hard work! Secondly, just look at that vine ball, it's as big as Mini (grin) are you planning on using the vine ball as a garden feature? Thirdly, your artwork is stunning, the layers of colour and patterns and your beautiful butterfly is perfection! I can see why your hubby wants to put it up and the butterfly reminds me of all of those you cared for and hatched last summer :-). Your mug is lovely with all those colourful lizards and finally "your mind believes everything you tell it" random thought is so true - I love it! Thanks for sharing and wishing you a Happy T Day! J :-)

  11. You made good work of that undergrowth! Love that you made vine balls! Will you make an installation for your garden!? We will have to tackle the ivy in our hedge at the caravan again this year.
I love your painting and I'm not surprised that your hubby thinks it worthy of decorating a wall! Great quotes! Happy T Day! Chrisx

  13. Wow- you are having our May weather in February. Hopefully you'll have a wet March so you don't have to worry about drought. I love the idea of making those twig balls from the honeysuckle. We don't really have honeysuckle here but boy does it smell nice, even if it can be a pain. Happy belated T day. I've been busy and am trying to catch up. Hugs-Erika

  14. We are concerned about drought too, we just don't seem to be able to stay away from it. It has been beautiful. We have been out every day and been walking as much as we can. We are doing what you are doing... cleaning out woods and we are burning, too. We have daffodils up! Love the butterfly! Good Morning!

  15. What a difference now that you have cleared that bit! We are in a drought too here in Spain and we haven't had enough rain either. One downpour the whole of the winter, and yes, a few drizzles but they are no good at all.
I love the quotes, especially the last one.
    Belated happy T-Day,
    Lisca
