T Stands for Tuesday & Baby it's COLD OUTSIDE!

Hello my Tuesday friends!!♥!!
Brrrr..... it is so cold here this week. Winter has arrived in full force with ice and snow and then more ice. Then the plunging temps 😠
So lots of hot chocolate...hot tea... and of course coffee being drank here.

Just had to try the peppermint in the hot chocolate...THANKS for the tip Elizabeth.
We had the last of the Super Full Moons this week so I bundled up.. 4 °F is not the best weather for cameras to work in. The lens  kept fogging up 😞  But I did get so great shots.

These were just after the moon rising and it was still the lovely golden color.. then later ..

and then at 5am the next morning.

I do love taking pictures of the moon. 😊
Our first snow was only a inch or two but enough to confound  Mini for a bit.

At first she just stood there staring at me but then she decided you could eat the snow and then you could play in it. She loses her socks A LOT though so we have to figure out a way to prevent that.
It's been too cold out for walks and she hasn't even asked to go . Just goes out and does her business. Plays for a couple of minutes and right back in she comes.
So the only sunrise we see is through the window.

The old "farm truck" sure looks cold sitting out there. That morning it was 3° F out there with wind chills at -5°F.
I'm almost done with the Christmas Crochet projects 😘 I'll share photos next week. I can't believe Christmas is only 5 days away. 😲
Yesterday I was looking for something on my desk and found my "FACES" art journal so decided to draw a quick face of a very tired Elf...
The only art other than fiber arts I've done all month.
Here's today's random thoughts...

Then I wanted to share this photo. It was taken outside of a small shop in our  near downtown artz area....
...such a grand gesture. According to the article it has been emptied and refilled several times during this cold spell.
So now that I've flooded this post with photos I'll sign off.

  4. What gorgeous photos of the moon! Thanks for losing sleep to capture them and then share them with us. Beautiful!!

Mini needs suspenders for those stockings - just kidding. I think the stockings alone are indignity enough for her ;-)

Your quotes, and especialy the coat rack photo, are very heartwarming. Merry Christmas!

  8. You were downright warm where you lived. Saturday it was -3 F and Sunday it was -13 F. First time since February, 2011 we've had two subzero days in a row. I had frozen water pipes, and had to place my heater on them. My heat simply couldn't keep up.

Glad you chose to add peppermint to your hot chocolate. It's good, isn't it? Lasts until the heat drags it into the bottom of the mug, at least.

I remember the first time Bleubeard wanted to go outside and had never seen snow. He didn't ask to go out again. These days he's content to stay warm by the heater, or my side. And that reminds me of the wonderful random thought about the shelter dogs. I wish that for shelter cats, too.

Your moon shots are fantastic. It was cloudy here, so I didn't get any. Yours are beautiful, but it really looked cold.

Thanks for sharing your moon shots, Mini out on a walk in her boots/socks, the generous gifts of coats for the homeless, and hot drinks with us in those adorable mugs for T this Tuesday.

  10. Merry Christmas! It has been COLD, nice to make it to 44 degrees yesterday, our little bit of snow is history. That was way too cold and we didn't like the ice. We got caught in Columbia that day. It was crazy up there! Your moon shots are awesome! Mini is a smart pup to stay out of that cold and that is a cute coat!

  12. I'm not very good at Fahrenheit temperatures but if it's below zero it must be mighty cold!
Poor mini in the snow, having to wear socks. They probably get wet and soggy. I don't know what's worse...
The moon photos are amazing! You really take a good shot. They are beautiful! Well done!
The idea of the coat rack is brilliant. We all have a few old coats hanging in a forgotten corner.
Sorry for the late comment. I got busy last night.
Happy belated T-Day and if you celebrate Christmas, I wish you a very happy one,
    Lisca

  13. A little late for tea I'm afraid, but glad to see you have plenty to drink to keep you warm in this cold weather. :) Mini is so cute in her coat. My 2 dogs just LOVE the snow, rolling around in it. And the quote about shelter dogs finding homes is wonderful- I would throw in the kitties too. Have a wonderful holiday weekend and Merry Christmas Carol.
