T Stands for Tuesday

Hello again my Tuesday FRIENDS ♥♥♥
Hoping this finds you all doing well !
It's been another busy week here with lots of clean up done out side :)
I laid cardboard on Sunday in the veggie garden...here's an in progress photo along with my drink of the day....herbal ice tea. Which was much needed as the temps are back up to summer weather again.

Then  I covered all of the cardboard with black plastic to hold the cardboard down and to help cook the weeds and Bermuda Grass under it all. Right now I just have pallets and boards holding everything down but at some point I'll be putting some straw bales out there . The mine pallets will then be used to create bins for growing the potatoes in.

Here's another photo from a different angle..
Now I need to finish cleaning up the back corners of the veggie garden and it will be finished for the year. That should not take long at all and won't need to be covered at all. It's just been too windy to work out there yesterday and again today :(
The full moon over the weekend was spectacular. I took a whole bunch of photos but will only share a few. The internet connection is really slow here today and it's taking forever to load pictures :(

The sunrise this morning was very so pretty .
I love that Mini Me has me up and outside almost every morning to see it.

I have some photos of some of the horses we see every morning but they will have to wait for a day when the internet is working better as my patience has run out today :(
Here's a random thought or two for today.

So dash on over to the other folks at

  3. I am in LOVE with those moon photos. They are simply awesome. I almost took a few here, but decided it was too windy.

It's been hot and windy here, too. Our high yesterday was 101 F, which broke the old one of 94 F in 1921. In all, we broke six records over the state. Of course, the wind was too much (gusts over 60 mph) to do anything constructive outside.

Thanks for taking us with you as you cleaned up your veggie garden and shared your herbal tea with us for T this Tuesday. I'm sure you are glad that is over. Sadly, I still have mine to worry about.

  4. You are one hard worker Carol... Summer has been visiting us here as well.. (Arkansas) But i hear Fall is around the corner again.. Cooler temps and rain.. maybe some severe storms which i'am not looking forward to... But cooler weather?? YES! I did see that moon. And your photos came out spectacular... Amazing how much a few clouds just adds to the 'atmosphere' of the photo... So glad you shared yours... Happy happy Tday! Hugss! deb

I love the photos of the sunrise. I never see that because I don't get up that early. (I'm a sunset girl)

  13. Those are wonderful moon photos. How beautiful. I think I need to do the same thing to my garden to combat my weeds. But working outside is great at this time of year. Not only is the weather beautiful, but for me up here in the northeast, its also knowing how limited those beautiful days are. Before winter. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

  14. Happy Tuesday-you are way ahead of me with my gardening projects-I need to do this for sure in some troublesome areas--I did pick loads more green beans this morning-they just keep producing food for us.

  15. Carol, I could not work that hard at gardening! The moon was beautiful. We were in your neck of the woods yesterday and it was muggy and cloudy and by the time we got home the cold front had moved in and it was bliss! Raining now! We NEED it!

  16. What a great approach to going after weeds and having a great garden plot in the process Carol!
    Sorry I missed T yesterday.
I am spending as much time as possible with our son before he heads back to Colorado (lots of cooking and laughing and more).
We've had a handful of amazing Indian Summer days where it got quite warm. Much cooler temps are on the way.
Your magical moon photos are marvelous (MMM!!!)
And how nice to get to enjoy more of nature all thanks to your cute puppy.
Thanks also for sharing the words of wisdom.
