T Stands for Tuesday

DEAR MOTHER NATURE,
PLEASE WAKE UP AND TURN THE SUN BACK ON!
It's been cold and wet long enough here. I'm ready for warm Sunshine and dryer days for sure. So happy these days didn't happen last all of last week while I was on  vacation. It didn't start until Thursday but got much worse on yesterday. I'm chilled to the bone .
I don't do well with cold and damp together.
Okay... I'm done whining for now.
During a few minutes of Sunshine I took my coffee outside in my Sunshine cup hoping Mother Nature would get the message and stay awake for the whole day . It didn't work. So the big burst of ripe strawberries hasn't happen yet. We had had a few here and there though that were delicious ♥
After today the sun is suppose to return so I'm sure we'll have a bunch real soon :)
Hairy the turtle has been loving the wet days. He's lived here the whole time we have :)  Once in a while we even have small baby turtles around the fish pond so there must be a mate somewhere about. Hairy is easy to identify by the scar on the back of his/her shell. At the moment he is hiding from the dog. Which you can barely see his nose in the upper left hand corner.
The dog is always around trying to get into everything I'm working on.

I'm really hoping to get the pond cleaned out this week and all the over growth at the end of it cleared out so you can see the second shell. I really wanted to get it done over the weekend but it was too cold to play in the water. :(

  1. Hi Carol, you seem to have a big workload again, don't overdo it! It's cold and blustery here too, they tell us from day to day that tomorrow will be better....Please keep trying to lure the sun out with your cup! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  2. It's been cold, raining, hailing, and high winds here as well. No time to be outside, but at least I've only had to water twice in over a week.

Your sunshine mug put a smile on my face, even if it didn't for mother nature. I think it's a fun shape and a beautiful mug.

You have a LOT of work ahead, so I hope you take it in small steps, especially with this damp weather we're having.

Thanks for sharing your garden, Hairy, your pond, and your sunshine mug with us for T this Tuesday. I think this is the first time I've seen your dog.

  3. Rainy days are good days to avoid yard work LOL...altho the weeds and other stuff sure do enjoy the wet weather.
I'm with Hairy the Turtle. The Lupus meds I take have warnings about sun exposure so when everyone is unhappy with rainy weather I am doing OK ;-)
How sweet it must be to see the baby turtles too!
Lovely words to ponder as always in your quote selection.
Happy T Day dear Carol oxo

  6. Our weather has been cold and rainy as well. We've had a couple of frost warning and freeze advisories over the past week. Glad I hadn't planted anything outside yet. :)
    Happy T day!

  13. Good Sunday Morning, Carol! I lost my way here when I locked myself out of Feedly. Just made a new folder on Chrome for blogs and I will sign up to follow by email. Feedly just wasn't working. It was beautiful yesterday and hoping for a pretty day today. I could never keep up with you, I have been so worn out lately!
