"T" Stands for Tuesday

Another week has passed and it's time for
"T" and Tuesday.
It was a crazy busy week in my world .
The trip to my folks went well and Dad is doing better. It was nice to just hang out with them for a few days with just us :)
Then it was home and back to work for the Super Labor Day Sale.
When you work retail ...
Labor Day takes on a whole new meaning.
Especially at a home improvement store.
It was CRAZY busy and I am pooped. I still have one more day to work before I can chill out and catch up on anything.
Like my faces for 29 Faces ....I'm already 3 behind :(
Here are 2 of the faces I have done... along with my coffee :)
The exciting thing happening is that I finally have Monarch Butterfly caterpillars on my milkweed. LOL! I adopted 14 caterpillars from a local Garden Center who has an overload of them and are running out of milkweed plants. I'm also taking leaves into the garden center so they can continue to feed the remaining ones they have.

I placed half of them outside on my milkweed plants and the others I am raising inside  and bringing the leaves inside for them to eat.

All of those little black spots on the paper towels are poop. Caterpillars POOP A LOT !  They also eat a lot :)
It's a good thing I have so many milkweed plants. So far the only Monarchs I have seen in my gardens have been male so I don't have any eggs or caterpillars from them. Of course now that I have adopted the butterflies will probably show up in force :)
Hopefully next week I will have pictures of cocoons for you and less poop LOL!
...Random Thoughts for Today...

Don't forget to check out the other great folks at
"T" Stands for Tuesday !

  2. These are the exact same caterpillars that attack my dill each year. That's why I always plant extra dill. However, I didn't see more than two this year. Glad they are growing strong in your area.

Those faces are gorgeous and I'm starting to see others participate, too. They go well with your coffee. And they are both so different.

Glad you had a good time visiting your father and that things there are fine. Sorry you had to work on Labor Day and the entire weekend. But think of it this way: YOU got paid for YOUR work.

Thanks for sharing your coffee, art, and caterpillars with us for T this week. And it won't be long until you can chill.

  3. What a fun post, perhaps with the exception of the caterpillar poop! Glad you had a good time back home, and that your Dad is doing better. Look after those precious caterpillars and butterflies, that's dedication, I must say. Hugs, Valerie

  7. Hello and Happy T Day! Happy to hear your visit with dad went well. Funny, how Labor Day makes for hard work for many. My daughter and mom had to work and they were very busy and tired when done. How exciting for you and your new friends, can't wait to see them turn into butterflies. Your faces are beautiful! Have fun catching up with them and having time to chill.

  9. Carol your faces are just fantastic!!! I love the girl with that load of colorful hair! How neat to be able to care for those monarchs. I only ever seem to find one caterpillar in the garden although several butterflies do come around to the flowers. Enjoy a rest day and happy T day!

  12. Love those quotes! And I LOVE monarchs!! Were so many of them in a field nearby when I was a kid. I'm talking thousands! But they tore up the field and all the milkweed plants to build a senior high school and they had no place to come visit anymore. So I love that you are helping them out and have milkweed!! Happy T-Day! :)
