T for Tuesday---- Birds and Ice

Thanks Elizabeth for hosting this every week. I know I'm not very good at posting but I do so enjoy reading the post :)
Winter gave us another spin yesterday. Ice in the morning ...then thunderstorms and pouring rain....followed by more ice... then warmer temps with high winds :(
I tried to go to work twice but just spun mu wheels on the ice and then fell on my butt trying to get back to the car. So I decided to stay home .
Here are shots of the birds in the morning ...unhappy with the ice too.

...and here's what's left of my morning Green Smoothie.

  1. Those birds look really cold. The cardinals are especially lovely, because it's been awhile since I've seen one here in KS. Of course, they were extremely plentiful in MO, and our whole town's mascot was Cardinals (Webb City, which is now on the outskirts of Joplin). I'm shivering just thinking about all that ice.

Sorry to read about your horrible day. I hope you were able to get home (inside your house) with no further incidents. It was wise you stayed home.

So glad you could join us this week for T(ea). Thanks for sharing your beautiful frigid photos, too. I like how you fixed your smoothie in a canning jar. It made me smile when I saw it. At least your drink was healthy, even if the weather wasn't (grin).

  3. I don't blame you one bit for staying home! Lovely pics of the birds-but yes, they do look cold. I def. want to get back to some green smoothies once I warm up again-for now it's hot coffee or tea. Happy T day.

Hope you didn't hurt your butt when you fell.

  5. Wow even the birds looked cold. Hope their feathers are enough to keep them warm. Glad you stayed home. That's scary falling down on the ice. Glad you are ok.
A cold smoothie? Well, I suppose a warm smoothie doesn't sound very good.
    Happy T(ea)-day!

  6. Better to stay home and un hurt than try to skate to work LOL! Hope you didn't hurt yourself in the fall.

Those poor birds look so cold and so mixed up about the weather..
Have a great week, as T-day is nearly over.

  7. Ice is in no way a good thing unless it is in a tall glass full of fruit and rum and you have a blue sea in front of you and your toes in some warm sand. At least in my opinion. I do however adore your cardinal photos!! The bright spots of any winters day. The Universe blesses us in unexpected ways.

  11. We're in for the same weather today, I'm hoping the ice won't happen since I'm notorious for falling. I'm glad you decided to stay safe at home!

  14. Oh... I don't like ice too. But in my country (Brazil) is rarely to snow. In my citty it's snow last year (it never happens), but I didn't go there because it was dangerous...
