It's Apple Season here!
Which means for the next week or so I will be up to my eyeballs in apples and applesauce :0)
I love making my own sauce every year and believe me when I say we eat it almost every single day.
This year is a bumper crop for our three little trees.... in spite of the drought.
So I had better get off here and get this bunch processed and the next bunch picked :0)
So glad I have 4 days off in a row for this!
awesome! I don't have a source for apples this year-and I love canning apple slices and applesauce too
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely apples - pure and natural, not shiny as they sit under the supermarket lights. Perfect just as they are picked - I can smell the applesauce (and cinnamon?) cooking even tis far east...
ReplyDeleteMmmm... homemade applesauce!
ReplyDeleteI smell apple pie soon!
ReplyDeleteMy Ruby post.
Have a great evening.
Yes, I love apples.
ReplyDeleteAmazing harvest.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Place ! Wish I knew how to get a picture that big ! Will enjoy reading deeper into your blog.
ReplyDeleteAll the churches around here have apple butter festivals and I love to go smell the apples cooking.
ReplyDeleteI use to have a crabapple tree and would put up crabapple jelly each year. Lot of hard work. I was kind of relieved when it had to be removed because it was encroaching on the new construction next door.
This was so timely! I'm going to start harvesting soon. Lots of apple things to bake!

I love this. In the vast division labor in our house, I tend the apples and process them in the fall into apple butter and apple sauce. Yum!
