Ruby Tuesday ----- Bloomin' Tuesday

Ruby Echinacea!
My favorite garden flower this year!
I know I showed her earlier as she was just opening.
Here she is in all her glory :)

I'm really hoping that she spreads well in the flower bed and that her seeds are true to form. I want more!!!

I also have a love for bees and just can't pass on a good photo shot of them. They are so vital to our gardens and are really not a threat  if you just leave them to their own thing.

  1. Lady, you know how to make a flower shine over and over again.
    These pictures are beautiful.
Echinacea is called sun-hat by us, but it is not an easy flower to cultivate this far north.
    Also used for medicinal purposes.

  2. Hi Carol, I love echinacea too! I have some, but not as much as I'd like, in my garden. Thanks for sharing - so pretty!
    Blessings, Beth

  4. I can see why she is your favorite. I love them, too, but they don't grow well for me. I have one in a container that comes back each year, but the few in the garden don't seem to live long or spread. I hope you do better with yours!

  9. I like echinacea very much too, for the bees and butterflies. I've found some of the hybrids don't perform very well and decline until they disappear or revert to one of the parents.
It's always nice to find one that is hardy and multiplies - good luck with this one.
