Ruby Echinacea!
My favorite garden flower this year!
I know I showed her earlier as she was just opening.
Here she is in all her glory :)
I'm really hoping that she spreads well in the flower bed and that her seeds are true to form. I want more!!!
I also have a love for bees and just can't pass on a good photo shot of them. They are so vital to our gardens and are really not a threat if you just leave them to their own thing.

Lady, you know how to make a flower shine over and over again.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are beautiful.
Echinacea is called sun-hat by us, but it is not an easy flower to cultivate this far north.
Also used for medicinal purposes.
Hi Carol, I love echinacea too! I have some, but not as much as I'd like, in my garden. Thanks for sharing - so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
Carol, your flowers are beautiful. Coneflower is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI can see why she is your favorite. I love them, too, but they don't grow well for me. I have one in a container that comes back each year, but the few in the garden don't seem to live long or spread. I hope you do better with yours!
ReplyDeletethat´s a nice color. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, Carol, these flowers are beautiful. I don't have any growing, but must remember these for next year.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous -- that ruby pinkish color is so pretty !
ReplyDeleteEchinacea is one of my favorites and your 'Ruby' is something special indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI played too. Mine are here and here.
I like echinacea very much too, for the bees and butterflies. I've found some of the hybrids don't perform very well and decline until they disappear or revert to one of the parents.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to find one that is hardy and multiplies - good luck with this one.
I love coneflowers! The ruby is beautiful! Jean
ReplyDeleteShe is glorious!
ReplyDeleteYour Echinacea are just glorious ... such a lovely colour. Loved your bee shots too!
ReplyDeleteCarol your Coneflowers are very pretty! I might start calling ours Ruby, I love that!
ReplyDeleteI am going to plant some of those this year. I love their flowers in the heat of the summer.
ReplyDeleteI love the color of this coneflower! I have a white one, and want to plant this for next year.
