T Stands for Tuesday

Hello my Tuesday Friends!
It's another gray wintry day here in Missouri. Snow flurries going on but nothing to worry about.
We had ice on Sunday :(   so I stayed home from work again. Had my share of falls for one season.
Even the garden frog was unhappy!
It's gone now...washed away by yesterdays rain.
For my drink of the day I'm sharing an older coffee photo. Reminding myself that Spring is only 35 days away and we will soon have flowers!!'

Still haven't recovered fully from my fall so I'm doing a lot of crochet  and knitting these days. I am doing a year long crochet along where we get new square patterns every month and at the end we put them all together for a throw or bedspread. Mine will be a bed spread.
Here are the 3 I have done.

I have also made myself a shawlet to help keep my shoulders warm at work on those windy days.
I made the buttons out of avocado seeds :)
I'm also knitting a hat and cowl to match just so I can improve my knitting skills.
The hat is finished and the cowl will probably get done later this week as I have a couple of Valentines things to get done.
 Today's Random Thoughts

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

  1. Your encouraging mug is perfect on this gray/rainy day, and I hope for flowers soon :) I think the idea of a bedspread made that way is fascinating. I love the shawlet! Lovely! And handmade buttons! I feel so guilty now about all the avocado seeds I've thrown away :(

Happy T Tuesday, and I hope the weather clears up for you soon. Falls are scary!

  8. The colors you have chosen for your projects are beautiful. I love the variation of colors. That shawlet is a stunner and I think that it is genius that you made your own buttons out of avocado seeds.
    Happy Tea Day,

  10. I hope you feel better soon from your fall. I have managed to stay on my feet so far this winter, but we have a long way to go before spring. (Another 14" of snow today.) I love your shawl and crochet squares, just lovely!

  11. Wow! Those hands have been busy-busy!
Ice is not good. Snow I love, but ice--I've fallen a few times over the past several years so I am extra cautious, too. Stay warm and safe!

  12. Yes, it is good to be careful and stay put when the weather is so bad.
You have put your time to good use. I love your crochet squares. The colours are beautiful. That will look so nice on your bed when it is finished.
Your knitting jobs are also fabulous. I love the shawlet. Buttons out of avocado seeds? The seed of an avocado is quite big. Did you saw them? And then dry?
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Lisca

  13. I'm glad you're doing better, Carol. That must have been a nasty tumble.

Your crochet squares are really beautiful. I love the colors you chose. The shawlet is cute & sassy. The avocado seed buttons make it extra special. I wonder if you cut the seeds yourself.

Great random thoughts today. I'll be hearing Louie Armstrong in my head all day ;-) Thank you!

    Happy T-day! Eileen xx

  14. Such beautiful crochet squares and knitting, a lovely colour too and how clever to use the seeds as buttons.
I remember when crochet dresses were all the rage, my grandma made me one is wedgewood blue, thought I was the bees knees and a matching sleeveless jacket, showing my age now.
    Take care. Jan x. #17

  15. I am late commenting but you are smart that you don't want to fall again. Especially if you still are recovering from the last one. But it has led to some fantastic crocheting. Love your squares! Hugs-Erika
