T Stands for Tuesday

Hello my Tuesday FRIENDS!
I have rejoined the land of the living once again.
This time it wasn't the sinus infection returning it was
INFLUENZA B 😢
If I thought I was sick before, it was nothing like this was. But after medications and lots of sleep....lots and lots of sleep. I feel human again.
Did I mention lots and lots of sleep?
So absolutely nothing else got done.
Before I got sick I did manage to start making a dent on cleaning off my desk.
The before photos...

.... and how far I got before the "BIG B" struck me down.
A noticeable improvement. Hopefully I'll get back to it this week.
I also got a few more of the "winter sown" jugs planted and set outside.
We did have another ice storm but I didn't venture out for photos.
My "Bottle Tree" garden has taken a beating this winter. With all of the ups and downs in the temperatures almost all of the bottles in the ground that form the garden edge have been heaved up.

I always have to reset a few but it will be almost every single one this year 😩 It might also be the year to take all of the bottles of the post and try to reset it too. It's leaning a bit more than before too.  Hopefully my garden helper will be available this Spring.
So that's all I have to write about this week. Here are some
Random Thoughts for the Day.

  5. Glad to read you are feeling a bit better, the Flu bugs can take weeks to get out of our systems.
Your bottle tree looks lovely super blue colours, it must be even better with the sun shining onto the glass.
    Happy T day wishes.

  6. Oh my, so sorry to hear you have been so unwell and I'm so glad that you are feeling better 😁. Sleep was obviously the perfect remedy, sounds good to me ...lol 😉. You are so good clearing your craft space and it looks like your blue bottle tree will be back to normal with some TLC 😁. We awoke to snow this morning, so everything has a dusting of white - so pretty! Happy T Day! J 😊 x

  7. Sorry to hear you have had the dreaded flu. I had it too, and mine turned into a pneumonia because I didn't (wasn't able to) see a doctor. I know what it feels like, but I am so glad you have gotten over that and are feeling better.
I am intrigued by your bottle tree. Is it a sculpture or do the bottles serve a purpose?
Now that you are feeling better again, you might have to continue your tidying and reorganising your desk area. (And you're probably not looking forward to that.
    Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

  12. Carol, I am so sorry you have been so sick! what a Winter you have had! Hope your Spring is wonderful! And your desk does look better! Hope you feel like crafting at it soon! I like your bottle tree. Once I visited a place where the house was covered in bottles, and the garden, the garden wall. Everything! It was quite something, in Arkansas, I think near Thorn Chapel, maybe. Same trip. LOL. Have a great T Day!

  13. I hope you are really getting back up on your feet for good Carol. The flu is awful and I have been taking elderberry syrup because it is supposed to help make the immune system stronger because I don't want the flu. But that's enough about me. I love your bottle tree and the good news/bad news is that our desk is not going anyplace. I think we all have such messes- so at least you know you are not alone if for some reason you think it must be cleaned. Hope it was a super T day. Hugs-Erika

  14. You bottle tree makes me think of lupine flowers, Carol. So sorry the flu got you. They say it's a really nasty strain this year. I hope you can get your immune system built up and stay healthy now. Take care.

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  16. I am back from Missouri, where I spent two very sleepless days and nights. After returning, I crashed. Finally awake and drinking my first coffee of the day, I am thrilled to see you shared your T Tuesday experience, even though I was saddened to read you had the flu. A very nasty strain has emerged this year, and it keeps changing before the CDC can pin it down.

For being so sick, you still got a lot accomplished. I want a blue bottle tree, too. My favorite: cobalt blue.

Thank you for sharing your bottle tree and your birthstone with us. I appreciate all the contributions you make to T Tuesday.
