T Stands for Tuesday

Hello Tuesday Friends!
Feeling low on energy today so this will be a short one.
I drove to my parents for the weekend. Wanted to spend Father's Day with my dad and check on him since he's been in the hospital again.
My daughter drove up to so it was a nice visit.

Bob didn't go as his kids were taking him out for the day on Sunday.
I swear the weeds grew 6 inches while I was gone!
Here are a few shots of the veggie garden ..

Now the tomatoes in these two photos were planted the same day and were the same size. I'm thinking that the second bail must need a boost of fertilizer or something.
This bale was planted the same day too but they are a different type of tomato and you can see but there are tomatoes on all of the plants.
And here is my class of herbal tea resting in the shade of the tomatoes while I pull a few more weeds. :)
Here I guess I dropped a squash seed and it's growing at the bottom of the bale in the walking space. :)
I started a new painting...lets see how long this one takes :)
Today's Random Thought
Now hurry on over to the other party folks who I'm sure are more awake and entertaining that I this week :)

  1. this is a rough gardening year for sure-which I kinda predicted especially knowing my yellowstone trip would put me behind-my tomato plants are looking better I fertilized them all this morning-next week looks like a cool one-can't wait
    Happy T Day

  2. Wonderful photo of the you and your family Carol. Everyone looks so happy. :) The problem with weeds is they never really go away, do they? Whatever you do to control them never seems to work. At least in my gardens. :) Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

  5. So glad you had a good time with your father. I loved the photos of the three generations. Your mother looks happy and I know your father was happy, too.

I can't believe the difference in the the two sets of tomato plants. Sort of reminds me of the difference in my two pine trees I bought at the same time.

I am loving your latest art piece. It is very colorful and reminds me of dripping crayons.

Thanks for sharing your random thought, your Father's Day photos, your veggie garden (which puts mine to shame, I might add), your dripping art, and your herbal tea with us for T this Tuesday.

What a difference in your plants, but they do look healthy and are flourishing.
Great start to your new art project, it looks fantastic to me with all those bright colours.
    Happy T day

  7. I am happy you got to visit with your parents and spend Dad time on Father's Day. You all look great... nice pictures! We are getting a couple of teeny tomatoes every day or so. Lots of green beans! Going to be fun to watch your art evolve! Aren't the skeeters eating you alive. We can't go outside without being devoured by the little monsters!

  11. I'm always amazed at how well plants do planted in bales. I don't have the space, or I would definitely have to see if I could make tomatoes do as well as you can :) I'm wishing your rogue squash plant well ;)

    Happy T Tuesday!

  15. How wonderful you got to visit your dad on Father's Day. And thank you for sharing the potos. It's great to see the three generations. You have a lovely daughter. And you don't look so bad yourself! (Oops I forgot you are in USA. In British English uses a lot of understatements. So translated this means: You're looking great gal!)
Sorry I'm late commenting at the T-party.
A belated happy T-Day and have a good week,
    Lisca

  17. Wonderful photos of your dad and family on Father's Day. Everyone looks so happy! Your hay bale garden is really doing well, I should try this too. I have two tomatoes given to me, sitting forlornly in their pots, poor things. The weeds; do they ever come to an end? :-)
