T STANDS FOR TUESDAY

Hello there my Tuesday Friends!!
It has been an absolutely crazy week for sure!!!
On Friday morning my husband was in a bad car accident and ended up at the hospital. He has a fractured sternum and is in a lot of pain but will recover. In about 6 weeks or so. The car will not :(
Another car was cutting in and out of traffic and clipped him causing our car to spin and hit the concrete barrier.  He very lucky that he wasn't hurt worse as he was going 65 mph.

Keeping our fingers crossed that the insurance companies work fast so we can replace it  right away.  So when he's ready to go back to work he will have a car to drive.
On a brighter side I did finish the painting last week and I'm very happy with it.
I'm working on another one now but I think I've overworked the background and made it too busy ... I'll think on it a day or so and see what happens.
I did buy my first seeds for the garden this year :)
I usually order from this company but was happy to see out store is carrying a small selection of their seeds this year.  I need to fill that coffee cup back up and get my old seeds out and figure out exactly what all I do need to buy this year.  It won't be long before planting time is here !!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥
So that is what is happening here. Right now. More excitement than I wanted to deal with but it will all work out ok.
Today's Random Thoughts

So hop on over to  Elizabeth's  and check everyone else out this week :)

  6. Oh Carol, I am so sorry! I am sending your husband get well quickly thoughts and I hope they can manage his pain. The weather has been crazy with all the ice. A couple of weeks ago we were caught in that crazy ice in Columbia and people were driving like idiots, spinning out all around us. I hope your hubby is feeling better every day! Love your colorful art!

  9. Whew!! Carol i'm so glad to hear your hubby will be okay... I hate how much plastic that is in the cars today...at least it was enough to keep your hubby relatively safe..

Love your finished painting and the colors in the second one are fantastic! Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb

  10. That must have been so frightening for both of you! So glad he wasn't hurt worse and will recover. A bit of gardening is nice, the promise of flowers to come. Try to take care of yourself while you are dealing with all this.

  11. Sorry I'm late visiting. My old computer had a major meltdown, and I had to reboot it twice in order for it to run again. I was able to visit a couple of people, then it went out again. I gave up and went to bed. I'll be very, very glad when I get my new computer back.

Goodness Carol. Your husband is very lucky, because that car was mangled so badly, it was lucky he even survived. So glad he'll recover, and hope his pain will subside soon. That would be enough to send me into a tailspin.

I like your new art. It is very colorful. And I can't believe you are already laying out your garden and buying seeds, but I KNOW it's the time to do it.

Had to laugh at the organized thought. Less stuff is probably a good way to start, and I'm trying, but it's very hard to get rid of art supplies I think I might use someday.

Thanks for sharing your art, your cute as a button mug, your new seeds, and of course, the photos of your husband's accident with us for T this Tuesday. Please let him know we are thinking of him as he recovers.

  13. SO very sorry that happened to your husband.
The "what could have happened" is chilling to think about.
Thank goodness he is OK...hope his healing goes smoothly and quickly.
Planning a garden is like planning a trip and is always a big part of the fun isn't.
The "less stuff" quote really speaks to me and planting flowers too ♥
Take care and Happy T Day dear Carol oxo

  15. Oh goodness gracious me! What a fright! I am glad your husband will recover. It could have been far worse. What an awful experience.
I like your art, and I think I agree with you that the background is a bit busy. Looking forward to next year's garden already, aren't you. And your quote about sowing flowers is very apt.I haven't got a garden but I have a patio with pots. I intend planting some chilli peppers and I have bought the seeds. I am also looking forward to the growing season.
    Belated happy T-day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  16. Oh my goodness! so glad your hubby will be all right...but that's a long recovery time. Maybe you can get him to make some art too...to pass the time! Your painting turned out beautifully...the WIP can handle lots of layers so no worries. Had to smile about your quote 'needed less stuff.' yep, me too. Best wishes for hubby's speedy recovery and quick resolution to the car situation!

  17. So glad to hear your husband wasn't hurt any worse than that...not that ending up in the hospital is anything to sneeze about. Yikes! Having a teen driver in snowy conditions, I worry about an accident such as your hubby got into. Good luck on getting a new vehicle in a timely manner!
    Happy T day!

  18. That's awful, Carol! I hope they caught the driver who caused the accident. A fractured sternum must be extremely painful every bretah he takes. Your paintings are beautiful. I wonder how you can create such beauty under all the stress. Maybe it's an escape for you. That's a good thing sometimes.

I guess I can still say Happy T Day, because things could have been worse! Fingers crossed for a good and speedy insurance company/agent.
