Time to Dig Out!

Well the storm of the century has passed and we are left with bitter cold and snow, snow, snow!
I am so not looking forward to digging out my myself. Just getting to the car is going to be so much fun..once there it doesn't look like it will be too hard to get out to the road.
The back deck has about 3 ft of snow on it and we had a minor avalanche when I opened the side door to let the dogs out this morning. Nothing like shoveling snow out of your house a 3:30am. The dogs are having more fun today than yesterday. The sleet was spooking them yesterday so they didn't spend much time outside. Today is another story.Well I guess now is as good a time as any to start bundling up and getting out there to clear a path. Keep your fingers crossed I don't fall and bust my butt. I'm notorious for that :-)

  2. The snows seem relentless this year! Just as we get shoveled out, another storm comes thru. Drinking lots of tea, staying safe and warm!

  5. Carol, we just got out for the first time yesterday since last weekend. It was the first day we got dug out of the garage and down our long drive. Hope you are getting around and out. Take care.

  6. I hope you are able to dig out quickly, and enjoy the time with your loved ones while you are snowbound! We escaped with just a bit of ice - no blizzards, no cyclones. We're hoping that VA got all its snow for the season already. We had a few decent storms. That's really all you need in one winter, afterall. It is pretty though...and I love how the sound is dampened by the snow, so everything in nature sounds so...still.
