The Experimental Garden

I struggle with my veggie garden every year. We live in Missouri and 3 inches below the topsoil we have the "dreaded" plastic clay. So I've started building beds on top of the ground and trying different raised bed methods to see which I like the best. The past 2 years I've had good luck with the Lasagna Gardening beds and this year I'm building 2 beds using the SquareFoot Gardening method. Now if I could only get Mother Nature to cooperate and give me warmer sunny days to get things done. My garden and supplies are there waiting for me but the rain and cold just keep on hanging on. I know it is only March..... but I'm over ready to get out there.

  2. Hi Carol! You have beautiful countryside where you live. You must be thrilled!

I used to square foot garden, myself, and had many raised beds (in days gone by). I loved gardening, and wish you a plentiful harvest this year!~~carolynn
