It's been a summer of major storms for us . These photos are from yesterdays storm damage .
These photos are from two weeks ago....
There was even more that I didn't get photos of....
Thankfully my son and his family came over and helped us with some major cleanup after the first storm. They will be back when the weather is cooler to help with more cleanup . The bright side of the story is we won't have to buy firewood for at least 5 years.
The kids have been a big help with small branch and leaf clean up.
Even our resident Princess worked hard.
Hopefully we won't have any more of these tree killing storms... our lovely shaded woodland areas are becoming quite sunny. So some of my shade gardens will have to be moved :(
I'm trying to get back into posting more often.... It's hard with these little ones under foot constantly. But I wouldn't have it any other way!!
Awesome helpers-hugs
ReplyDeleteWe have missed all the storms-which can be a good thing, trees falling here would be very damaging to the homes here-but rain is so needed here-typical Missouri weather though. nice to see you posting-hugs
That looks like powerful storms to have done such damage. It changes the landscape when you lose trees or when trees grow into a space. It's hard to lose trees, but it's nice that you have a use for the wood.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got help clearing the storm damage. Many areas here were destroyed by the storm and many died. Have a great week, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe poor trees! Glad you have your precious helpers. :)
ReplyDeleteSo much storm damage, those poor trees and I'm glad to see your little helpers tidying things up! It's so nice to hear from you and to see that you and your family are ok 😀. Time spent with family is so precious, enjoy! Happy wishes! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteHow incredibly sad about the storm, dear Carol. What a mess to have to clean up. I know it must be very hurtful when you find the trees are split and must be removed. I hope since there is now more sunlight, that a few babies will take hold and grow over the years.
