Saying Good Bye to My Favorite Appliance :0(

My blender has been with me for 18 years now. In the past 2 months I've used it almost everyday .... making those wonderful fruit and veggie  smoothies. Since doing the
smoothies every morning for breakfast and cutting back on junk food and such I have lost 10 pounds. I don't get the cravings for snacks like I used to :0)
Now back to the real story.... Monday I dropped the blender .....:0( ... I checked it out and it seemed to still work so I was relieved.
Tuesday I went to make my smoothie and it just barely made it through the process :o(
I knew it wouldn't make it through another one. So Tuesday night after work I was roaming the aisles at Walmart at 11:30 pm.  Checking out what they had in stock. I must admit the newer blenders and juicers available at Wally World impressed me.
With budget restrictions in mind I chose a new one that will do a bit more than my recently deceased friend.

So here is my new friend.....plus the container and blades from my old friend fit the new one!!!

The new container holds 3 times more than the old one.... so on weeks when I have to be at work at 5 or 6 am , I can make up a big batch and put them in the frig. Ready to grab on my way out the door :0)

Life is good again :0)

  1. I know how hard it is to find a new friend that is as good as the old friend, Carol! Looks like you have a winner!:)

  2. Looks like you found a good one. Your old one looks exactly like one I had once. Mine didn't last as long as yours. It died several years ago. ;(

  3. I get attached to all kinds of inanimate objects. Looks like your new friend will be a good one, though. And a smoothie sounds really good right now! ;)

  4. That is so awesome!! Don't expect the new one to last as long, nothing is made as it used to be!! I had one for twenty years, once it died everything after that never lasted very long!! My daughter is the queen of smoothies and she wanted a Ninja for her birthday!!It's awesome except I hate all the blades it has!! Hope you make some green monsters with fresh spinach and fruit! So good!! Congratulations on your natural weight loss!!

  5. My hubby insisted we had to buy a Bullet (bullet shaped blender/chopper as seen in the infomercials on TV) that was in the clearance aisle at Wal-mart. I didn't see the need for it and hated to spend money on something useless. But, it turned out to be a fairly good thing to have around. Especially for those slushes my husband likes to make several times a day.

Good luck with your new toy and congratulations on the weight loss.
